The lithium-ion batteries provide a much longer life than older technologies. The duration of the emergency mode will be determined by the total load connected to the emergency control gear. The maximum allowed load is 80W. The 9Ah battery will provide 1 hour of backup when the full 80W is connected and longer for lower loads. Multiple loads can be connected to the controller.
The HOMEBASE controller can be installed in a cupboard or the ceiling. It contains an ambient-light sensor to allow it to only switch on when it's dark.
