Understanding Light Colour Temperatures at Future Light

Choosing the right light colour can make all the difference in creating the perfect atmosphere at home or in the workplace. However, we understand that the terminology around lighting colours can sometimes be confusing. That’s why we’ve simplified things with a consistent, easy-to-follow naming convention based on Kelvin (K) ratings.

Our Colour Naming Convention

At Future Light, we label all our lighting products according to the following colour temperature ranges:

• Warm White – 2000K to 3500K
  Soft and cosy, ideal for living rooms, bedrooms, and dining areas where a warm, inviting glow is preferred.

• Cool White – 3500K to 5000K
  Crisp and clean, perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, and workspaces where clarity and focus are key.

• Daylight – 5000K and above
  Bright and energising, best for areas requiring maximum visibility such as garages, offices, and outdoor spaces.
